Let’s meet in Budapest!

This year ICT Proposers’ Day will be organized on Nov 9-10, 2017 in Budapest, Hungary. The event will focus on the 2018 Calls for Proposals of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme in the field of Information & Communication Technologies and Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) and bring together academics, researchers, industrial stakeholders, SMEs and government actors from all over Europe. Like every year, TAGES Team will be there to discuss project ideas and build consortiums.

Open Data is a Must for a Smart Future

Nowadays one of the first things that comes in minds when you discuss the necessities of a smart city is “Open Data”. Last month Smart Future Expo Summit and Fair was organized by TET (Turkish Electrical Electronics and Services Exporters Association) within the Project Bazaar 6 Event on Sep 6-7, 2017 and the importance of Open Data was addressed by Leyla Arsan, CEO of TAGES, during the panel namely “Transforming Data into Information and Managing Cities with Information” where she was one of the panellists.

Young Entrepreneurs Innovate with OPENISME

TAGES, one of the partners of the EU-funded OPENISME Project, has been invited for a collaboration where TUBITAK is implementing the Programme for young techno entrepreneurs called BIGG and OPENISME is being used as a tool by program participating Technology Transfer Offices (TTOs) and the entrepreneur applicants applied for the programme for their innovative business ideas.

Boost Your Innovation Capacity with OPENISME

The members of Woodworking Machinery and Side Industries Businessmen Association (AIMSAD) started to use OPENISME (Open Innovation Platform for Innovative SMEs) Platform to boost their innovation capacity. Leyla Arsan, CEO of TAGES and EU Projects Consultant of AIMSAD, met the members in the Gala Dinner of AIMSAD and presented how TAGES helps SMEs through OPENISME on their way to innovation.

Funding Industry 4.0 for Manufacturers

European Commission has established specific funding programmes which helps EU manufacturing enterprises, especially SMEs, to adapt to global competitive pressures by improving the technological base of EU manufacturing systems. Around 200 participants from 13 Countries met in ‘Digital World & Developments’ Event in Maltepe University, Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, organized as the International Student Congress on ‘Digital World & Developments’ in Istanbul on April 6-7, 2017 where Leyla Arsan, CEO of TAGES was the key-note speaker of the event.

Elazig: Emerging City of Makers and Developers

Eastern Anatolia 1st ICT Meeting Event (DBB’17) was organized by Fırat University, Firat Teknokent, Harput Agency and Nida Agency in Elazig Akgun Hotel on March 9-10, 2017. This event brought together regional and national business, government, politics, academics, entrepreneurs and investors with the ICT professionals. Leyla Arsan, CEO of TAGES, was one of the speakers in the “Digital Business World” and “Digital Transformation and Smart Cities” panels.

Business Bridge to Houston

A delegation of Turkish Business Women attended “Ankara – Houston Entrepreneur Women Forum” in Houston on October 23-30, 2016 which was organized by ANGIKAD (Entrepreneur Business Women and Support Association) and Houston Trade Attaché. Hikmet Barutcu, Coordinator of TAGES and a member of ANGIKAD, was one of 13 attendees to create business opportunities between Turkey and USA especially on smart cities and women employment.
