INTOUCH (Labour Market in Touch; new non-routine skills via mobile game based learning) Project which is transferred to Turkey as INTOUCH-ICT Project, has been pointed out as one of the best Leonardo da Vinci projects 2010 – 2011 by the European Commission.
INTOUCH (Labour Market in Touch; new non-routine skills via mobile game based learning) Project (2010-2012) is a lifelong learning project which is placed under Leonardo da Vinci program, which is now under Erasmus+. The project’s aim was to develop modern technological ways of training skills for employees, especially those working in the service sector, using unused modern technology, such as smart phones and tablets. The selection of crucial non-routine skills was done after a survey carried out among employers in partner countries and a learning kit named INTOUCH learning tool-kit was developed and implemented. From the results from different ways of testing the effectiveness of this kit, INTOUCH project has proved to be an innovative approach enabling a new generation of workers to develop their crucial non-routine skills in a labor market orientated, flexible and technologically modern way. INTOUCH–ICT (ICT Professionals Intouch New non routine skills development via mobile game based learning) Project is a Leonardo Da Vinci, Transfer of Innovation Project which transfers the results of the aforementioned INTOUCH project to Turkey with some of the INTOUCH partners and new partners and also adapted it to ICT sector. The project coordinator is ENOCTA, a pioneer e-learning company in Turkey. The other project partners are Turkish Informatics Foundation (TR), OKAN University (TR), Centre for Flexible Learning, municipality of Söderhamn (SE), SAPIENZA INNOVAZIONE (IT), REFILE (IT), TREBAG (HU). TAGES is supporting the project from the beginning of its preparation phase. Project was launched in November 2013 and is planned to end in October 2015.
The latest update from the INTOUCH-ICT project is that the crucial top 10 non-routine skills needed by the ICT SMEs’ business professionals were defined and the m-learning kit including 20 goal oriented situational m-learning lessons for ICT SMEs’ business professionals (2 x each key non-routine skill) was developed.
